Who is this for?

Anyone who wants to come that is over 18 years of age in good health and mobile.

 

Is there any chance of getting seasick?

Not likely, Panormos is completely protected from the sea, only strong gusts over the hills may be experienced causing the boat to sway slightly.

 

Does one need any prior boating experience?

No.

 

How does one get ashore?

The boat will be anchored off from the shore by about 100 meters, meaning that a small boat ride in our inflatable boat will be needed to get ashore. This transport will be available with one of our crew managing the boat.

 

How far is Skopelos town?

Town is about a 15 minute drive by car, or bus that comes by about 5 times a day. 

 

What is the cost of renting a car?

This season cars were being rented between 15 euro and 30 euro per day.

 

Renting a motorbike / moped?

Approx 10 euro, however a motorbike license is required (for insurance purposes).

 

How does one get to Skopelos?

What is the weather like?

Usually warm sunny days around 20 Celsius, with evenings cooling by a couple of degrees, however can be changeable with showers and cool snaps.  Also see weather (link)

 

Water temperature?

Around 18 – 20 Celsius.  It feels a little fresh when first getting in however quite enjoyable once in.

 

Hot showers?

Hot showers are possible however bathing in the sea as we do all summer is strongly encouraged for the sake of conserving our water supply.

 

How is the accommodation?

Depending on the numbers of guests every effort will be made to give you a cabin to your self.  There are three twin cabins and one 7 berth cabin available.

 

What does one need to bring?

Personal clothing, toiletries, bed sheets or sleeping bag.  We’ll provide a blanket and pillow.  Due to unstable weather it’s best to have along long sleeved shirts and trousers as well as house shoes (slippers).  Possibly foul weather gear and boots if you like hiking in the rain.

 

Use of mobile phones or internet?

There is a signal for use of mobile phones and computers with wireless connect cards for internet access (albeit weak) if you bring your phone or computer along.  We do not have computers available for guests.  There also is an internet café in Skopelos town.  Further there are card phones ashore in Panormos.

 

AC power on the boat?

We do have AC power of 230 Volts at 50 Hertz available at various times throughout the day for charging up your phone or computer.  Also available for hair dryers or shavers.

 

What does it cost and what’s included in this cost?

We ask for a contribution to be made by each guest that will help us meet costs to keep this boat operational.  We suggest 50 Euro per night which will include accommodation with full board and any guided tours that we have arranged dependant on interest.  Also the use of windsurfers with instruction if required as well as diving tours also with instruction if required.

 

What’s not included?

Your travel to and from the boat (at Skopelos).  Personal medical / accident insurance cover.  Meals ashore, souvenirs, car / motorbike rental.
