Torchbearers Greece offering Christian holidays/retreats and discipleship training in the beautiful islands and coastal areas of Greece. Began in 1996 under the name Kingfisher Project and is an extension of Tauernhof, - the torchbearers center in Austria.
Our aim is to know Jesus Christ and to make Him known.
This is done through:
- Greek Connection - Weekend winter wilderness adventure programs for Greek youths building relationships and teaching Christian values.
- Impact Training - Six to eight week Spring bible school and adventure based experiential learning programs, bringing the bible to life as we sail in the wake of the Apostle Paul in the Aegean Sea
- Greek Sailaways - One to two week summer sailing holidays & retreats in a Christian community offering physical rest and spiritual refreshment as we travel among the islands of the NW Aegean Sea.
- Halcyon Days - during the restful Autumn period afloat in the idyllic Panormos cove enjoying a flexible Holiday plan for total relaxation in body soul and spirit, where you make the program with no one telling you what you have to do.
The S/Y "Genevieve Challenge" a 27meter (90ft) traditional gaff rigged Schooner, - aboard which we run the above programs, is owned and made available to us by Release Foundation, - a Christian Charity in the UK.
